A good server name is short, easy to say on voice chat, and tells a new player what kind of world they are joining. Use these rules before you fall in love with a name:
Use these as a starting point, or drop the word you like into the generator above with "With your word" to get variations. All of them are under 20 characters and work as a join address.
The name is a label; the join address is what players type. On SpawnFort the address is the slug of your name plus the domain: the name "Ember Hollow" gets the address ember-hollow.spawnfort.host. The slug is the lowercase name with spaces and punctuation turned into dashes, only letters, numbers and dashes kept, no leading or trailing dash, and at most 40 characters. The generator prints that slug under every name so you can check the part that actually has to be unique.
The address never changes when you rename the server. That is deliberate: the address you shared on Discord keeps working, and friends' saved entries keep connecting. If you really want a different address, the owner can edit the slug in Settings; the old one stops resolving after the change, so do it before you share widely. Java players join with the bare address; Bedrock and crossplay servers add the port after it.
Do not put Minecraft, Mojang, or other brands (game studios, YouTubers, products) in the name. Server lists can refuse them, rights holders can ask for a takedown, and you lose the name after you built a community around it. The generator's word lists avoid them entirely; if you type a brand into "With your word", that is on you.

Yes. The display name (what players see in their server list and MOTD) can change any time. On SpawnFort the join address stays the same when you rename, so links you already shared keep working; the owner can edit the address slug separately in Settings if they really want a new one.
No. Two servers can share a display name because it is only a label. What must be unique is the join address: on SpawnFort that is name.spawnfort.host, and the generator above shows live whether a given slug is still free.
In the name, yes: spaces, capitals and most punctuation are fine. The join address cannot: it is lowercased, spaces and punctuation become dashes, and only letters, numbers and dashes remain. "Ember Hollow" becomes ember-hollow.spawnfort.host.
Two words, easy to say out loud, no numbers, and a hint of what the world is about. Pick an adjective plus a place word (Ember Hollow, Northern Ridge) or add SMP after your group's word. Avoid names that only make sense as an inside joke if you plan to invite people later.
